Pricing Models
Each product can have one or more prices associated with it. This lets you offer the same product at different price points or billing models.
Price types
Section titled “Price types”| Type | Use case | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed | One-time purchase | $99.00 for a design template |
| Recurring | Subscription billing | $49/month for a SaaS plan |
| Metered | Usage-based | $0.05 per API call |
Creating a price
Section titled “Creating a price”Navigate to Prices and click Create Price:
- Select the product
- Choose the pricing type
- Set the amount in USD
- For recurring prices, set the billing interval (monthly, yearly, etc.)
Multiple prices per product
Section titled “Multiple prices per product”A single product can have multiple active prices. For example, a SaaS product might have:
- Monthly: $49/month
- Annual: $470/year (save 20%)
When creating an invoice or subscription, you select which price to use.
Default VAT rate (VAT mode only)
Section titled “Default VAT rate (VAT mode only)”For merchants in VAT mode, each price can carry its own default VAT rate and tax behavior (inclusive/exclusive). When a price with a default VAT rate is added to an invoice line, that rate is applied automatically — no need to pick it again on the invoice. The invoice line’s own VAT rate selector still lets you override it for that one line if needed.
This is optional per price; a price with no VAT rate set falls back to the merchant’s default VAT rate when the invoice is in VAT mode.
