Creating Invoices

  1. Navigate to Invoices in the sidebar and click Create Invoice

  2. Select or enter a customer — name and email address

  3. Add line items — each with a description, quantity, and unit price. Optionally link to a product from your catalog.

  4. Set the due date, review tax (uses your default from Settings, and is labelled with your tax name, such as GST or Sales tax), and add any discounts

  5. If you use itemized tax, each line shows a rate selector, named for your tax (for example GST rate), next to the discount control. It defaults to Default (your default rate, or the price’s own default rate if the line is linked to a product). Pick a different active rate to override it for that line. Mixed-rate invoices are fully supported, e.g. standard-rated goods alongside reduced-rated items on the same invoice.

  6. Click Save as Draft to save for later, or Send Invoice to email it immediately

Open a draft or sent invoice and use its Files section to attach timesheets, purchase orders or receipts. Files you share appear on the invoice page your customer opens, and the invoice email lists their names. See Attachments for the limits, storage and sharing rules.

There are two ways to send, whether you send one invoice or several.

Send emails the invoice. Your customer opens the invoice page and chooses how to pay: your bank details, or any chain your wallets support if you have the payments add-on. This is the right choice for most invoices.

Send for on-chain payment asks for one specific token on one network, paid to your wallet on it. You choose the network and token when you send. It appears only when the payments add-on is on.

To send several invoices at once, tick them in the invoice list and choose Send or Send for on-chain payment from the bar at the bottom of the screen. Up to 50 go out at a time. Any that can’t be sent, such as an invoice with no customer email, are reported back and the rest still go out.

Send asks you to confirm how many customers will be emailed before anything goes out. Send for on-chain payment offers the tokens for the currency of the invoices you selected, so EUR invoices are offered EURC. Invoices in different currencies need separate sends, and the picker tells you if your selection mixes them. Invoices set to be paid by bank transfer only are skipped with the reason.

If an email can’t be delivered, for example because the email service is down, the invoice is reported as not sent:

  • With Send, it stays a draft, so you can send it again.
  • With Send for on-chain payment, the payment request already exists, so the invoice is marked sent and you’re told to send a reminder, which emails the customer again.

Each send is recorded in Settings → Audit Trail. A bulk send shows which option you used, and for on-chain payment, the token and network.

Plirin auto-generates invoice numbers:

  • Send Invoice mode: Sequential INV-0001, INV-0002, etc.
  • Immediate (POS) mode: Daily format S-YYMMDD-0001

Numbers are unique per merchant and cannot be changed after creation.
